Like most other popular online services, PayPal supports two-factor authentication.
Here’s how to set it up:
1 – Log into your PayPal account.
2 – Click the Profile link at the top of the page, then select Profile and settings from the drop-down menu.
3 – Click the My settings link in the box on the left-hand side of the window.
4 – Find the line labeled “Security key” and click the Get started link over on the right end of that line.
5 – Follow the instructions on the screens that follow.
After you’ve successfully enabled Two-Factor Authentication you’ll receive a text message on your phone every time you attempt to log in to your PayPal account. To complete the login process, simply enter the 6 digit code from the text message into the text box provided on the login page.
